Cajun seasoning

I’ve been making this seasoning for at least 30 years. I’ve given it to friends and neighbors as a small gift and made it in bulk for my adult children and their friends. It is a great addition to just about anything. We add it to grilled chicken and fish, potatoes, eggs and soups. If I want to make a spicy dip for an appetizer, I include it. It’s also a necessary component of my chicken salad recipe, which I still need to post.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup salt (regular table salt works better than kosher in this instance)
  • 1/4 cup cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder

Mix all ingredients well and store in an airtight container.

Best,

Lisa
